This is a cute well finished ceramic piece. There is no silicone seal so there may be a problem with keeping cookies fresh. The jar is a good size and will hold approximately a dozen cookies. The lid does fit securely and the pom pom on the lid makes it easy to take the lid on and off. I would recommend hand washing.
