Now this is a masher! It can be used for potatoes as well. Very sturdy and has three levels of mash – the top level glides down smoothly when you press it and you can control the degree of mashing. There are some sharp teeth and holes on the top which are considered the 2nd and 3rd aspects of this mashing monster.Cleans easily too!

Love, love, love my tomato masher. The spaces are narrow enough to smash to a nice consistency and wide enough to leave small chunks of tomato in your sauce. I also used it to mash green plantains and it worked to perfection. I would definitely recommend.

I’m really pleased with this product.I use it to make mashed potatoes.The bottom piece is fixed.The upper stainless steel plate moves up and down with serratedteeth to assist in mashing the food.It’s dishwasher safe.My only critique is that it is too wide when laid down to fit in a standard utensil drawer.I have to store mine in a lower cabinet with pots and pans.Still, it’s a good product.

I’m very happy with this purchase. It says tomato masher but we’ve found it works just as good on mashed potatoes. It came well packaged and without issue. It’s also pretty easy to clean and I haven’t had any issues there either.
