It took me a few times before I got the timing right, along with the water level. I fill the pan roughly half full of water,and cook 4 eggs for nine minutes with the water simmering.I spray the cups with spray oil sometimes but it doesn’t matter if you don’t,just slide a knife around the cup and then tilt it out.
