Aged oak is a pretty medium to dark brown. A little darker than the online picture in my opinion. The quality is great. Real wood. Evenly stained. Solid construction.
Because I installed above bricks I had to modify installation. Just had to make a wider mounting bar with a scrap piece of wood.
Used a shim in the very center as bricks were not perfectly level.
I was working with someone who was going to finish some wood and install for me and it was going to cost 600-700 total so this was a much better alternative.

Love it! Ordered oak color. The front has a rough textured look so expect minor imperfections. I wouldnt really call it a live-edge look but the texture is nice and a bit rustic. We wanted a color that would show well against dark stone wall. The piece has color variations so goes well with many wood tones.
All Parts and detailed instructions were included. I also watched the installation video. I installed the 60 by myself.
The wood had a rough feel when I ran my hand hand across it. Felt like tiny rough bumps. Used 1000 grit wet sandpaper to lighly smooth it without removing any finish or texture. Not taking away a star for this because it only took 5 minutes.

We decided to use this as a floating shelf over our washerdryer. It’s gorgeous and wasn’t too difficult to hang. I would definitely recommend!
