Alighting from a dream, a fairy settles her hand-crafted 13-inch-wide butterfly wings, created of 140 individually hand-cut pieces of shimmering, copper-foiled art glass, to cast a soft glow in a home or gallery. Inspired by the Art Nouveau fairy sculpture “Libellele,” designed and sculpted by Paul-Lucien Bessin, our finely sculpted fairy lamp sits prettily atop a dragonfly perch. She is expertly cast in quality designer resin with a bronze finish, atop a solid marble base and adds radiance with your 25-watt, type “B” bulb. This is authentic, hand-crafted art glass; variations of texture and color are part of the process.

Overall a nicely styled lamp to go with another art nouveau lamp in our dining room. Since I was just going for a small amount of light for ambiance I installed standard night light bulbs (2×7.5w) in this lamp. The finish is a little more glossy than I would have liked but it still looks good. Also, the stain glass butterfly wings in their normal mounting positions were a little off centre so I made a slight modification to enhance its overall appearance. Overall I’m now quite happy with this lamp.
