The finish on the cabinet is very sturdy its more than just a thin coat of paint. The cabinet itself is what youd expect for particle board and MDF with regards to putting it together, it was pretty easy. The directions should include a step that tells you to take the drawer slides apart when youre attaching them to the cabinet but weve done drawers before so we figured it out. Something to consider if you are replacing a plastic wash basin type basement sink or laundry sink is that these drain lower (they are deeper) than this sink and you have to accommodate your plumbing drain when you put the sink in. It is also a smaller profile than one of these wash basin type sinks, you can see it is not as deep from the wall out as your washer and dryer. It gives us nice space and a nice finish to our laundry room. Really happy with it.
