Description
The Classic Salt Cellar is composed of Culinarium’s own proprietary blend of concrete.
All of the Culinarium items are one of a kind. Culinarium cast each unit in a handmade mold for about a week. Hand burnish each and then apply 3 coats of Colinarium’s own sealer. Backed with cork bottoms for added tabletop protection.

Perfectly made, exactly what I wanted. The cellar holds less salt than I thought, but the quality is top notch. The concrete is sealed to prevent stains or leaching, but its not a glossy sealer.

Beautiful and simple, but it’s painted so take care not to scuff it or paint will wear away leaving a darker surface exposed.

Only thing I don’t like, is I’ve purchased a similar item from Indigo in the past (they don’t have them anymore) and the lid was attached, with a swivel and a magnet to keep it closed. Oh, also, was much cheaper at indigo, about $20?

The size of this was exactly what I was looking for, I have noticed some markings or patina in spots after some use that I didn’t expect but actually like the look of.It is well made and has a good weight to it which keeps me from spilling salt everywhere as I am known to do!
