The package came in two pieces. It was not damaged. Shipping was very fast and the service department was very helpful with shipping information.
Putting it together really requires two people after the first few steps. Read the directions first. Do exactly as they say. Don’t take short cuts because you think you know what you are doing.
Assembly is quite cleverly designed. No tools required but does need an extra pair of hands. Finished in about 2 hours from opening the boxes.
The finished product is well constructed. Real wood, not fiber board. Corners fit professionally, good paint and finish work. All-in-all, could not make one yourself for the price and quality. I was a little nervous at first about buying this online, but I wasn’t disappointed. Exceeded expectations, in fact.

I give this product 4 stars because of the tricky assembly, and the 5th star is for Wayfair’s amazing customer service.
The length of the island was really important for me as I needed it to fit in a particular spot (see photos, which show the back of the island).The top is 42.25″ long, which is the longest part of the island without the side attachments of the spice rack and towel rod.The next longest part is the bottom part that the casters attach to, and that is 41.5″ long.Just FYI, if you don’t use the side attachments, then you’ll see the black inserts along the side of the island where they are supposed to go (see photo).
Once you get the island assembled, it looks great!But the assembly, which is “no tools,” is a little tricky, and it didn’t help that the instructions were wrong in some places.It could be worth your money to pay for assembly, or else prepare yourself.Also, you definitely need at least two people because there comes a point where you have to keep several pieces aligned while you insert and attach the large back panel.The casters were really hard to insert – the instructions say something like “firmly press into place,” but I had to use some WD40 and even then I had to push each one in with all of my body weight.
I really applaud Wayfair’s customer service for being so courteous and fast.One of the drawer pieces was defective (the metal track wasn’t secure, and the wood where the screw was supposed to go was stripped too much).Luckily since it was a drawer piece, we were able to put the whole thing together without the drawer.I contacted Wayfair’s customer service that night, and the next day (on a Sunday) I got a response and had the replacement in a few days.Fantastic customer service!

I love it! I just had my entire kitchen redone and wanted a moveable kitchen island. I found this one. However, I had extra granite and the granite people make a top to match my new countertop. I also used the same knobs and drawer pulls as my new cabinets.

LOVE the kitchen cart and I’m very happy with the purchase.My boyfriend put it together and the only hiccup he had is that there are two casters with locking mechanisms that should be installed one on each side and he put them both on the same side.It’d be helpful if they were labeled.An even better idea would be if all four casters locked and not just the two.The cart is great quality and it doesn’t differ from the online photos in any way.There’s absolutely nothing to point out that was disappointing and not a single thing I can think of that requires a heads up before making the leap to purchase the cart.It’s fantastic!

Love it. This island is so sturdy. I had someone put it together for me so I can not speak to how hard or easy it was. He said it took him about 2 hours. The color is not as white as might be expected. It is more of a cream white. If you are looking for a stark white this is probably not for you. But even though my cabinets are white it still looks beautiful and gives me the extra storage I was needing.
