The headboard and footboard are solid, making the bed quite sturdy. I was concerned about switching to a platform bed, but the slats are well-supported by cross beams. The assembly of the bed was fairly easy to manage alone. I do recommend drilling pilot holes to make assembly easier.

I’ve had this bed for almost 1.5 years now and I’ve moved twice since and the bed is still structurally sound! I did put the cardboard that the pieces came in between the base and mattress to add a little support when on the bed. Not sure if it helps but it gives me peace.

Very pleased with this set. It was not difficult to put together at all. It is the perfect furniture for our in-between aged children. Bought two sets in two colors one for boy, one for a girl. They love it and we loved the price!!

The Mannion bedroom set is very similar to another well known California original furniture brand yet is priced so much better.Do I dare say it might be a “dupe” for the popular bench wright set sold for 3 times the cost.

Assembly definitely needs two people! With the amount of screws it needs, you know it’s built to last. This wouldn’t be the best item to get if it’s not your “forever” home. It would just be too difficult to take apart and reassemble! Luckily, I don’t plan of moving! Be happy with the colordurability!
