Great birdbath! I wasn’t sure about the finish but it looks great. The pedestal is matte finish, while the bowl is shiny, but they look great together.I was a little concerned when I couldn’t make the top attach and stay level, but it works best to just set it on top, since it makes it easier to dump out and refill the water.

The problem with this is not the birdbath but keeping the water from evaporating.I liked the birdbath but got exhausted refilling it every day so it is in my garage until I can figure out what to do with it – re-purpose it!
