It was fairly easy to set up. All parts and simple instructions included. There was a small “chip” or peeling of the outer layer of “wood looking” material out of the box. It was on the front which I wasn’t happy about, but on the lower part and not too noticeable. It’s sturdy and we can sit on it. But the material isn’t the best and I can see it easily getting scuffed more if in high traffic area or gets moved around too much. Overall, it’s a good chest for the price. We are using it to store our shoes by our front door. Definitely helps the area look more tidy compared to the shoe rack we were using.
