I am very pleased with this item.It’s exactly what I needed for my contemporary foyer, which is somewhat narrow – and the price was right.It seems sturdy and it was not hard to assemble,thanks to the “heads-up” from other reviewers to attach the top first.I plan to add a mirror above the bench in the near future.

The bench is pretty sturdy. The instructions on the other hand could have been better. They should also mention in the description that you DO NEED a power drill to drill screws into the back of seating part.
Got it for my entry way to put shoes on and it meets my needs.

Once I got receive the new pieces and got the bench all put together, I really like it. It’s very comfortable to sit on, not too low, and is sturdy.I’m tall and heavy. So I like that this can hold me as I take off my shoes. Not to mention that it’s very chic as well.

Very nice addition to my home, it was fairly easy to assemble and although I did have an electric screwdriver I started attaching the last six screws to the seat without it, but used it to ensure they were secure.Love it!

Bench is solid and well built. The open chrome shelving keeps dirt from staying in the unit—as with cubby models.
Holds 6 pairs of large shoes, 8 pairs for smaller feet.Would not work well for above ankle boots.
Assembly:easy, but you need a drill for the leather wrapped seat, and be sure to assemble it to frame **before** the bottom shelves which otherwise block access for drill and screwdriver

Nice, sturdy, and a good height to sit on. I do wish they had mentioned that you need a power drill to screw on the top (there are no pre-drilled holes) – I was fortunately able to borrow one, but didn’t realize I needed to until halfway through the assembly process.
