Lovely and elegant placemats!They have a subtle sheen.Not too bright of a gold.

These mats are great…large with vibrant color, but unfortunately they are not the right color gold. They are more of a champagne gold. I needed a brighter gold…more like what you see at Christmas. They make nice protectors for my countertops, endconsolecoffee tables, bar cart. They make excellent coasters if youre having guests over and want to place multiple drinks in one location…like on a serving tray or island countertop. You can also use them on dressers and vanities to place under flameless candles, lamps, plants and perfume. They make excellent floor protectors for ceramic indooroutdoor stools and large floor lamps or faux trees. I didnt have to spend a fortune on those candlevanity trays as these mats come in plenty of colors to match any color scheme. If you really want to be creative, you can attach several together (using 3M Command Strips) to make a walking path for a small balcony. Im definitely going to be ordering more for my patio tables. I think Ill ultimately have to look at charger plates to get the effect that I want for my dining room. Im very pleased with everything I have ever ordered from Wayfair. They definitely have what I need…want! )Thank you!
