Super easy to put together. I left the Styrofoam on the base until it goes to the room it belongs. Lift the lever before sitting on it to maximum height then adjust hight as needed by sitting on the seat and lifting the lever. It moves very quick so it might take a couple tries to get the hang of it. The seat is velvet and comfortable. I do recommend this stool.
