The Evap40 Whole Room Evaporative Vortex Humidifier creates a comfortable, perfectly humidified living space quickly and quietly. Vornado’s deep pitch blades pull large volumes of harsh, dry air through two humidifying filters, and then, using Vornado’s signature Vortex Action, circulates the humidified air throughout the room, providing complete and uniform humidification in spaces up to 1,000 sq. ft. The Evap40 delivers automatic humidity control with a built-in humidistat. An easy-to-use control panel allows you to choose your desired humidity level and fan speed (low, medium, or high). Its extra-large 4-gallon capacity provides up to a 4-gallon water output when operated continuously on high, allowing for long, uninterrupted operation and fewer refills.

Simple design, easy to take apart and clean, easy to load water and the large water tanks are great because I don’t have to fill them every day, they last for about 3-4 days sometimes (winter days).

The dry feeling in our home has improved immensely. We bought a humidity reading device and set up as well and our humidity levels in our home are staying spot on for a healthy home. The unit is working as it should and does not constantly run due to the fact we are able to set it at our desired settings. Our home is a little over 1200 square feet and even though it is rated for a 1000 sq ft it seems to be working all throughout our home. Great product would highly recommend to others.

Love this unit, my apartment has been so dry this winter we were suffering with chapped lips, dry itchy skin, nasal issues, dry throat and eyes every morning. This works very well. I ordered it because it was a pretty large one that was also dead simple to clean and to refill with water. The filters last a while and aren’t expensive to buy more. I was afraid of it leaking so I bought a big tupperware tub to put under it, but it hasn’t leaked at all.
The only thing I don’t like about it is you can’t set it to turn off at say 40% humidity just by using the humidifier, which doesn’t show you the humidity. You have to have a separate way to measure humidity and then you can set the humidifier to turn off at that point.
It is also pretty loud on the highest setting but it doesn’t bother me. But if you’re using it in your bedroom it might be a concern.

So far, so great! We bought this humidifier after days and days of research on which one would work the best for our home and situation. We have an all electric furnace that DRIES out every bit of the moisture in the air and our skin. My poor babies had the driest skin I’d ever seen them have thus far. It was heartbreaking. So far this unit seems to be working great. We love the simplicity to it and the fan noise and water “glugging” other reviews have complained of do not bother us one bit.
