Two tracks connect in a single line for the length
The only way to decrease the overlap is to mount the rollers closer to the edge of the door. We recommend mounting 1″ from the edge but the least you can do is 1/2″. That would reduce the 6″ overlap to 4″. If you need less, you could use a double-track system.

Because we have not so much wall space, we couldn’t go with single rail barn doors.
2 rails seemed too heavy for our space, so this worked very well.
Our studs were not every 2 feet, so we had to mount base wood first and worked great.
It was easy to install and looks beautiful!
We had to install guid between 2 doors to keep the straight which We definitely recommend to do.

This barn door hardware turned out perfect for our pantry and allowed us to get away from the swing out style traditional doors. The instructions were easy to follow and the setup provides a smooth and easy to roll for the doors. We opted for this setup over the double bypass setup to only have one track and bracket setup. Going to add a small caster to the bottom left base of the right hand door in the image where it will space out the two doors. The caster will be hidden but will act to keep the doors from touching each other when sliding. We added a header to ensure that we landed the lag screws into wood vs drywall. Highly recommend!

This was the best part of my garage remodel! I was able to use this hardware to create a rolling bookcase which doubled my shelving! It was relatively simple to install(it did require 2 people and about an hour) and very sturdy.

Exactly as described.Very easy to install.There is one error in the instructions about the measurement for to mount the brackets on the doors.1 18 in one section and 2 18 in another.Just watch to make sure its correct.Measure twice drill once.
