I will say it did have an odor so I stuck it outside on our covered porch to air out. I think it was the foam mattress pad. It’s really a great piece

I’ve used Moses baskets with all my babies and loved them ! But over the years they have worn out or been lost . With a grandchild on the way , I wanted to have one in the house . I found this and ordered it . It came today and is exactly as advertised. Also, it’s way better made than my old one .
