In my opinion, this was made with intentions for tea cups and regular sized mugs.Although oversized coffee cups will fit I just had to consider the bottom two branches are better suited for smaller mugs when I used this.I found it is very stable when all branches are used with different sized mugs.The end goal was achieved for me, this item eliminated having to open kitchen cabinets for a mug. Glassware with handles are visibly available when guests need to know where to find a drinking vessel. If anything Id recommend the size of the mugs are considered before purchase.All my mugs fit but they fit better using the top branches for my two oversized mugs. The rest are regular cafe glasses for guests.This item definitely keeps its balance it is well made.
