I Purchased this fan to update an existing fan since recently changing my decor. My previous band was a hunter 70 inch five blade fan; I Purchased the 65 inch three Billy van to replace it. It works like a gem, Is quiet and it really moves the air. I was pleasantly surprised that the three blades almost feels like it’s moving more air than five blades. My B.I.L. installed the fan but I was not around when he did however he said he didn’t have any problems with the installation. I’m so satisfied with this fan that I am going to replace the fan in the master bedroom with the same one only smaller.

We bought the 52″ for our bedroom and liked it so we opted for the same style for our great room. We have nearly 16′ ceilings. We installed it at 10′. Our walls and ceiling are Dover White which looks like a warm ivory. We have can lights in the ceiling so the fan matches the can lights. Our goal was to have the fan not really noticeable and it worked. If you want to be able to control the speed of the fan by a wall control, you must purchase the Minka branded one. A standard wall control will only allow for an on/off switch.
