Alessi Objets-Bijoux Piccantino Chili Chopper / Dicer by LPWK and Jim Hannon-Tan (Part number: JHT02)

LPWK was born in Bergamo, Italy, Laura Polinoro graduated in Drama Art and Music Studies in Bologna. Her first job was in the field of contemporary dance. Later she undertook research at the Domus Academy in Milan. From 1990 to 1998 she was in charge of the Centro Studi Alessi, where she operated as meta-project designer and art director, coordinating workshops both in-house and in association with various universities and design institutes the world over. Items that entered production in that period are identified with the acronym CSA. Since 2004 products overseen by Ms. Polinoro have been identified with the letters LPWK. Jim Hannon-Tan’s style and viewpoint have been shaped by a diversity of inputs and ideas. Born in Spain, he grew up with Asian influences in multicultural Australia before moving to Europe to hone his skills in the design studios of Milan, Amsterdam, and London over the course of 15 years. His creative base is now back in Australia, where he is inspired by the vast landscapes, East-West fusion, and the potential of design to humanize new technologies and advanced manufacturing.
