Great quality and style. We bought the 48″ and used 2 lag bolts to secure the mounting board to two studs. The bolts were 3/8″ by 3-1/2″. The shelf is very secure and pretty easy to mount. We love it.

The picture doesnt quite set your expectations.This thing is huge. Its not a floating shelf.Its a REAL MANTEL without the arch and fireplace…. heavy and solid.You MUST know where the stud are in the wall and properly install. Worth the buy.Only thing.The black isnt all black. The top is but the rest is a dark expresso.You notice this again other black items and in the sun.That was the ONE thing.But honestly Im still giving it all the stars because its really, really nice.
