The beautiful graduated design will add flair to your flame. Handcrafted from Asian hardwood veneers over MDF paint and stain grade. Mitered hanger board assembly included for easy installation. Light sanding and filling are recommended before paint or stain is applied.

This mantel arrived ahead of schedule which was such a pleasant surprise.When we opened the box my first impression was WOW this thing is beautiful.We put it against a 50 year old brick fireplace in our small sitting room.The fireplace is 8 1/2 feet wide and just needed a boost.The mantel I ordered was 6 feet long.It was easy to install and you can’t believe what a beautiful difference it made in our fireplace……we are so pleased

Absolutely beautiful shelf. When bought our house, the prior owners had made accommodation for a mantel, but never put one in. When we had the fireplace cleaned, we asked about brands and the only one recommended was Pearl. I had other priorities in the new house, but finally started looking for a shelf, and found exactly what I wanted at Wayfair–and for hundreds of dollars less than some of the other sites. The mantel was delivered quickly, in perfect condition, and the enclosed instructions made for a simple DIY installation. Note: I was a little confused about the material–one of the questions asked if it was wood or MDF and someone responded MDF, but that is incorrect. I checked the Pearl site, and this model was listed as wood, and sure enough, what we got was wood, not MDF.

Very nice item and price was much better than what the big box home improvement stores were, however, it was made with different types of wood, so if your planning to stain, beware that different shading will appear, and yes, we sanded and pre-stained the wood prior to staining….this would be perfect if you just plan on painting it.

Amazing quality shelf….real wood, tight construction, and classy design.It comes unfinished.I painted mine white to go over a fireplace in my master bedroom.I suggest lightly sanding before painting or staining.The price is amazing for the quality of the work.It seems larger and more ornate than in the photo.

Love LOVE this mantel.It is beautiful and looks professionally done and it was so easy to hang.It is very sturdy and I have it decorated all the time.It is deep enough to hold all my decorations, vases, etc. without sticking out too far that you hit your head.
