Love this butcher block! Package was protected nicely with bumpers on the sidewalls and shrink wrap around the whole board before it was packaged. That was a relief upon delivery. The block itself is a beautiful piece of wood. If you just sealed it and didn’t stain it would still look fantastic!
I cut it down from 74″ to 64″ width and applied 3 coats of American Walnut by Varathane, sanding in between each coat.I’m thrilled w the outcome and plan to mount on custom legs from diyhairpinlegs for a new office desk. Super pleased w this purchase!

I used the butcher block for a desk top. I cut it to size using a circular saw and used two coats of butcher block oil, which gave it a beautiful color and really brought out the grain. The butcher block was easy to work with, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Our first delivery was cracked down the middle. Wayfair replaces very quickly. Great customer service and that’s why I will continue to shop with them! This wood is very fragile. Our second delivery arrived with no flaws. It was cut to size for our new laundry room we stained with 2 coats miniwax stain and sealed with polycrylic. We tried matte, satin, and gloss finish poly and actually likes the gloss best. It doesn’t look as glossy as I’d expect.Very happy with the look! Hoping it holds up well

We love the butcher block counter top! The fact that it was solid wood made it super easy to cut down to the depth we needed for our kitchen addition. Plus, the price was great too! We were looking to use ikeas butcher block top but it was hollow and not easy to cut, and pretty much the same price as this. Very happy with this purchase! These handles are also from Wayfair and we love them too!
