The Harrogate Steel Wood Burning Fire Pit is handcrafted with precision metalwork and inspired by casual sophistication and clean lines that set the stage for an outdoor ambiance that provides hours of warmth and an understated focal point in the garden, terrace, or veranda. 17 Stories manufactures and utilizes industrial-strength tank heads for the bowls used in their fire pits. Tank heads are the end caps on cylindrically shaped pressure vessels. They generally comply with ASME standards because of the high pressures they must withstand for use with gas storage tanks and reactors.

We LOVE this fire pit. It is very heavy and sturdy. The drain hole in the bottom is great so that the basin doesn’t fill with water. I’m sure it will rust over time but has a nice rainbow patina right now that I love. Definitely worth the money.

This fire pit is very sturdy, heavy duty and looks like a beautiful piece of art! It will get a rusty patina but I think it adds charm. It holds a lot of wood and is large enough to place several adirondack chairs around. We love it! And we received a handwritten thank you from the owner, which was a nice personal touch!

We were very nervous to buy such a large heavy item (in case we needed to return)
But as it turns out, it is just what we wanted.
It’s is spectacular and quite an art piece.
There were a few of similar look that we were choosing from (I always wanted this one, my husband always wanted the cheaper one lol)We got this and boy am I grateful. It is quite an art piece and just the right size at 48” bowl. (Smaller for us would have been out of place)
Our one complaint was a heavy scratch in the outter bowl and as seen in pics above, the bottom ring was not finished where they left the weld mark. It was not coated or painted. To me that is a disappointment as I now have to fix it and try to make it look original. 🙁
We are going to try to keep it from rusting as I prefer the look and we have a white silver stone patio. Also I would prefer that the drain hole in the bottom middle wasn’t 2” round. I think it’s too much and all the ash and mess falls to the patio. Then we need to lift the 235lb bowl to clean it out. Not practical.
Other than that? We love love love it.
We didn’t get a cover sheet for it as we would just need to store it and move it so we just got a wonderful fire pit cover from a near by garden center.
I wish the weld point was finished properly and for the kind of money we paid. But now that it is here, what can you do?
Function is a 6 out of 10 due to the large drain hole and looks are a 10 out of 10 minus the weld joint.
We will (with some care) have this for a lifetime now.

We are in love with our new fire pit. This is an amazing firepit and the last firepit you will ever buy. Gorgeous focal point for family gatherings, I purchased the 72 inch size and love it, you will NOT be disappointed, highly recommend. Pics were taken right after installation.

We received the fire pit sooner than originally scheduled. The delivery guys were awesome, they brought our fire pit to the location in our backyard. This pit is a beast! It’s beautiful and well made. We are creating a Zen backyard and this really creates that element. The several reviews about the patina from the elements is true. It really gives it a better look. Several compliments received by our neighbors. We can’t to fire her up during the fall weather. Many thanks Seasons and Wayfair for such an incredible product!

Such a beautiful fire pit! Spent a lot of time debating on making this big purchase, but we are so happy to add this gorgeous element to our backyard! It’s very heavy and sturdy and feel like will last a lifetime. Was initially deciding on this shape vs a similar but more shallow model and very happy with this deeper bowl for when the breeze picks up. We got the 36″ and its the perfect size for our space. It feels very big but not overwhelming. We got the fire pit lid that matches and we love the combo, the ease of containing the fire at the end the night and a little table for when the fire’s not roaring. Keeping it covered to try to protect it from super fast rusting but also looking forward to the colorful patina that is yet to develop.
